Responsibilities

  • Assemble and install metal structures, including beams, columns, and frameworks.
  • Perform stick welding and other welding techniques to join metal components.
  • Use hand tools and power tools effectively to cut, shape, and fabricate metal materials.
  • Conduct inspections of finished products to ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Collaborate with other construction professionals to complete projects on time.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols.
  • Utilise basic maths skills for measurements and calculations related to projects.

Skills

  • Proficiency in stick welding and other welding methods.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.
  • Experience in using hand tools and power tools for metal fabrication.
  • Ability to assemble and weld various metal components accurately.
  • Familiarity with sheet metal work is advantageous.
  • Good basic maths skills for precise measurements and calculations.
